On November 6, 2024, at FACTORY NoLo in Milan, the event took place LYRIA - The Way of the Paradox - An immersive journey, an experience that has redefined the boundaries of digital storytelling thanks to the mixed reality and to the advanced technology of Meta Quest 3Organized by Astrea Nicodemo and BF.OZ, the event took participants on a multisensory journey into the world of Lyria, a tale that combines science fiction, romanticism, and cyber-thriller.

Metagate, leader in the development of experiences of mixed reality cutting-edge, has created a unique application for the Meta Quest 3 that immerses participants in a virtual study, furnished with a wooden table and a desk and a Victorian-style lectern. At the center of the experience, the Lyria's Bookan interactive object that, placed on the lectern, activates immersive animations visible through the viewer Meta Quest 3. The spectators see a glowing butterfly and a three-dimensional rune appear, which, once touched, activates a sound narrative accompanied by dreamy purple lights, making the most of the functionalities of the Meta Quest 3 to create a total immersion effect.

This event highlighted the potential of the mixed reality and technologies such as the Meta Quest 3, which are emerging as powerful tools for the world of entertainment and culture. Metagate has demonstrated how the mixed reality can unite AR and VR to merge art and technology into experiences that go beyond traditional storytelling. At the end of the experience, participants were able to engage in a question and answer session and a buffet.

Thanks to the innovative contribution of Metagate, the event "LYRIA - The Way of the Paradox" has opened new possibilities for the mixed reality as a storytelling tool. With the use of Meta Quest 3The event demonstrated how the future of immersive storytelling can unite the physical and digital worlds, allowing participants to experience new narrative dimensions that transcend the limits of traditional perception.

The journey into the world of Lyria began with the appearance of a butterfly that, with delicate and luminous wings, seemed to emerge from the very pages of the book, floating in the surrounding space. Shortly after, a three-dimensional rune, ancient and mysterious, manifested before the eyes of the spectators. By touching the rune, the spectator activated an additional phase of the experience: a female voice off-screen began to read parts of the novel, immersing the audience in an enveloping purple light. Lights and shadows danced on the stage, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that intensified the feeling of truly being in another dimension.

The event showcased the potential of extended reality (XR) as a storytelling medium, demonstrating how augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) tools can unite art and technology in a single experiential flow. The evening concluded with a question and answer session, followed by a buffet, where participants could reflect on the experience and share their impressions.

"LYRIA - The Way of the Paradox" represents a new chapter for cultural experiences, opening the doors to a future where technology amplifies the ability of stories to engage the audience. Mixed reality has proven to be a powerful tool for transporting people on an emotional and visual journey, merging the physical and digital worlds to create new narrative dimensions that transcend the limits of traditional perception.
