The project we are talking about today touches on a field that has not yet been fully explored but promises to be one of the next to be significantly impacted by WEB3: music.
In this regard, Giampaolo Motta has created his first song, recording it directly in the OVER the Reality metaverse, and made it available as an NFT on Opensea (with only 14 copies!).
But was it really necessary? Why is it interesting?
Because it's another use case that fits into an ecosystem that is gradually being built. A silent metaverse could even be unsettling, but the addition of music and sounds makes the experience even more immersive! Furthermore, by making the track an NFT, Giampaolo emphasized an important concept: it is his (and now it belongs to whoever owns the NFT).
This is the philosophy behind WEB3, where I can: enjoy, interact with, and own digital assets without the typical intermediaries of WEB2, which built their fortunes on user-generated content. Content creator remuneration is crucial in WEB3, and this approach challenges giants like Facebook (now Meta), which, in the long run, will have to choose between paying shareholders or content creators.
