Snow Crash

The first book to use the term "metaverse" is "Snow Crash", written by Neal Stephenson in 1992. In this science fiction novel, Stephenson introduces the concept of the metaverse as an immersive virtual world where people can interact through three-dimensional avatars, anticipating many of the ideas related to the modern metaverse.
