PRIVACY POLICY – “Material Exploratory” (Meta Quest)

This notice is provided pursuant to Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018.
Owner of the processing and contacts

2) Who it applies to
This notice concerns the App “Material Exploratory” distributed through Meta Store for headsets Meta Quest.
3) Personal data processed by Metagate through the App
Metagate does not collect or receive personal data through the App.
In particular, the App:

does not require a Metagate account or registration;

does not include analytics, profiling, advertising, or tracking tools;

does not send data to Metagate servers and does not use backend services for users (e.g. Supabase);

does not use Artificial Intelligence nor blockchain.
4) Permissions and device data (Mixed Reality)
To enable the Mixed Reality experience, the App may require system permissions from the headset (e.g. MR/passthrough features, controller/hand input, spatial data necessary for operation).
This information is used exclusively on the device and are not transmitted to Metagate.
5) Processing carried out by Meta (platform)
The App is distributed via the Meta Store and works within the Meta Quest ecosystem: Meta may process data (e.g. account, device, telemetry/diagnostics) as an independent data controller, in accordance with the platform's own policies and privacy settings.
6) User contacts and requests (outside the App)
If the user contacts Metagate via email/PEC/website, Metagate will process the data provided (e.g. name, email, message content) solo for handling the request and providing feedback.
Legal basis: execution of pre-contractual/contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and/or legitimate interest in managing communications (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), where applicable.
Storage: for the time necessary to handle the request and, subsequently, in accordance with legal requirements or protection needs.
7) Recipients and transfers
I dati eventualmente trattati per la gestione dei contatti possono essere trattati da fornitori IT nominati data processors (art. 28 GDPR).
As a rule, Metagate does not transfer data outside the European Economic Area; where necessary, transfers will take place in compliance with Chapter V of the GDPR.
8) Data subject rights
The user may exercise the rights provided for under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, where applicable) by contacting the DPO at dpo@themetagate.it.

9) Changes
Metagate may update this notice. The updated version will be made available via the reference page linked in the store and/or on the website.
