We’re excited to announce that Metagate has won the Bronze in the category “Web3 & Immersive” at the Web3 Alliance Awards 2025 held as part of the NC Digital Awards, thanks to the project “Opengate XR – Easy builder for Mixed Reality by Metagate”.
Recognition for our vision
The award, promoted by Web3 Alliance (Italy’s leading consortium for Web 3.0 technologies) and sponsored by Le Village by Crédit Agricole Milano, was created to showcase the most innovative Italian projects in the fields of Generative AI (Gen AI) and Web 3 / immersive.
Metagate fully embraces this mission: we advance mixed reality (MR) as a bridge between the physical and digital worlds, for businesses and users.
What this means for Metagate
- This recognition confirms our position as a reliable, forward‑looking player in Mixed Reality.
- “Opengate XR” is a simple, accessible builder for mixed‑reality projects: winning an award proves the idea works—and people like it.

The award context
The Web3 Alliance Awards 2025 featured two main categories:
- Gen AI – generative artificial intelligence projects.
- Web3 & Immersive – projects that use blockchain, augmented/virtual reality/metaverse. Metagate competed in the second category and took third place, behind high‑profile “first‑place” projects.
Looking ahead
This award isn’t a finish line but a driver of new ambitions:
- Expand “Opengate XR” with advanced mixed‑reality features, interoperability, and blockchain.
- Collaborate with national and international partners on pilot projects that combine MR + Web 3.
- Contribute to Italy’s innovation ecosystem, as promised by Web3 Alliance’s mission: “to showcase the most innovative Italian projects.”
