The new UI of OpenGate XR marks a decisive step forward toward the democratization of Mixed Reality: cleaner, more intuitive, and even more powerful. Developed by Metagate, it represents a key evolution to make Mixed Reality truly accessible: designed for the Meta Quest 3 headset, it enables immersive experiences using natural gestures and intuitive interfaces. 3D assets, videos, and AI avatars are placed in the real space with precision, activated simply by wearing the headset and logging in with your credentials. Just use the same email and password used in the browser.
At the same time, the OpenGate WebApp allows you to design MR experiences directly from the browser, without writing code: assets are uploaded, AI avatars are configured, and the scene is organized. Everything is saved in the cloud, ready to be viewed on Meta Quest 3. Again, you log in with the same account – same email and password – to maintain perfect continuity between creation and usage. Thanks to the redesigned interface, it is now possible to build immersive experiences in just a few steps, directly from the Meta Quest 3 headset and the browser. The no-code builder has been optimized to offer maximum clarity, instant visual feedback, and guided flows to upload 2D, 3D, and video content, place it in physical space, and create interactive scenes.
Every element of the new UI is designed to reduce technical complexity, allowing even those with no XR development experience to create engaging environments, customized AI avatars, and unique narrative spaces. The hand-tracking system and millimeter-accurate spatial positioning make the interaction natural and smooth: Mixed Reality finally becomes accessible.
On the technical side, the new UI uses a modular component system with persistent spatial anchors, ensuring that each element remains in the intended position even after restarting the experience. Additionally, an advanced configuration panel for AI avatars has been introduced, allowing for the customization of voice, knowledge, and behavior of virtual assistants.
